Your first day on the mountain should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Our First Timers Guide walks you through what to expect on your first day at Mont Cascades, from what to bring, where to go, and how to get started so you can focus on having a great time.

Upon

YOUR ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival at the resort, head to Guest Services where you can purchase your ticket or season pass, rent equipment and book a ski or snowboard lesson! Bathrooms are located on both floors of the main lodge. Lockers are found on the ground floor and storage cubicles are on the top floor!

Slopes

FOR BEGINNERS

The easiest trails are identified by a green circle. At Mont Cascades, you will find our easiest run, called ”Mini”, on the far right of the lodge. Your instructor will let you know what trails you and your children are most likely to enjoy based after your lesson.

Suggested

CLOTHING

Maintaining your body temperature in varying weather conditions is tricky. Because your physical comfort is the starting point, make sure to follow these tips for best results on the hill!

1.

Clothing

Everything you need to know for a smooth, fun, and memorable first visit, including tips, rentals, and slope guidance.

2.

FOR YOUR FEET

Wear a pair of wool or synthetic socks, opting for warmth over bulk. Avoid wearing 2 pairs of socks.

3.

FOR YOUR BODY

4.

FOR YOUR HEAD

We highly recommend you wear a helmet. Choose one that cover your ears.

Other helmets, like bicycle helmets, are not recommended.

A pair of ski goggles and a neck warmer will avoid wind burn.
