All about
OUR RFID

Mont Cascades has been using RFID technology since the 2025–2026 winter season. Your card remains valid all year round thanks to rechargeable RFID cards! How does it work? We explain everything here!

Mont Cascades uses access gates at the chairlifts and issues guests RFID access cards. Keep this card to reload online and save.

For the summer of 2026, the RFID card is valid only for season pass holders.

Online Purchase and Retrieve your RFID card

In order to collect your RFID card, you must first purchase a ticket or a season pass online (or at the customer service counter).

Keep it safe, it will be your card for several years!

RFID Information

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification Device.

The device is a small circuit that is integrated into your RFID card, which contains information relating to your season pass. This RFID card will grant you access to the water park, provided, of course, that your card is loaded with a valid season pass.

It is also possible to reload your RFID card at the customer service counter.

Frequently Asked Questions

IS MY CARD GOOD FOR NEXT SEASON?

Yes. Your card is good for many seasons. If you have a Mont Cascades RFID card, regardless of what it contains (ticket or season pass), it will be recharged automatically during your online purchases. So, if you buy a season pass for the next season, it will end up on your card. So keep it safe until next season!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET MY CARD?

As you must have your RFID card with you to access the mountain, go to the customer service counter with an identity card, we can give you a new card. You will not lose any tickets or subscriptions that were on your card.

We offer you your first magnetic card, however a $5 fee will apply if your card has been lost or stolen.

A MONT
CASCADES STORY

Mont Cascades is owned and operated by Rick Hunter, the Hunter family, and the Cascades operating team: people with a deep, personal connection to skiing, snowboarding, and winter life.
Rick Hunter spent five years on the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and competed at Can-Am level and in World Cup events. His passion for the mountain runs deep, and Mont Cascades is part of the way he gives back to a sport and a community that have meant so much to him.
That same spirit lives at the heart of Mont Cascades today: creating a place where skiers and riders of all ages, and the families who love winter with them, can come together season after season.
