Whether you are looking to rent a pair of skis, a snowboard, a helmet or some ski poles, we have everything you need. We are proud to offer equipment that is tuned frequently during the season so you can enjoy the slopes!

GLOSSARY OF TERMS

Edging

Machine edge sharpening. Stone edge sharpening for a good finish.

Polish

Small quantity of wax, machine brushed. Lasts for a shorter period of time.

Hot Wax

Wax infused using heat. Scrapped and brushed by hand. Lasts for a longer period of time.

Tuning

Machine sharpening of the base of the edges. Tuning of the base of the equipment.

Base Structure

Creates lines in the base of the equipment so water escapes from under the base more quickly.

Grinding

Removes rust and imperfections from the base.

Clean Up

Clean up with soft products.

Greasing

Greasing of every mobile component.

Binding Adjustment

Adjustment of the binding according to weight, height and age.

P-Tex

Basic repair of the base of your equipment.

Base Patch

Large repair of the base of your equipment.

Base Flattening

Machine base trueing of your equipment.

CASCADES STORY

Mont Cascades is owned and operated by Rick Hunter, the Hunter family, and the Cascades operating team: people with a deep, personal connection to skiing, snowboarding, and winter life.
Rick Hunter spent five years on the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and competed at Can-Am level and in World Cup events. His passion for the mountain runs deep, and Mont Cascades is part of the way he gives back to a sport and a community that have meant so much to him.
That same spirit lives at the heart of Mont Cascades today: creating a place where skiers and riders of all ages, and the families who love winter with them, can come together season after season.
