A Food Service Attendant (food counter, cashier, food truck) is an employee whose primary function is either to take meal orders and serve them to customers promptly in accordance with health and safety standards set by department management, or to collect payments at the cash register for purchases made in the cafeteria or at the food truck cash register.
The incumbent must ensure product rotation, preserve food freshness and quality, keep the premises clean, ensure food and work area safety, dispose of waste and recycling, and wash dishes, equipment and work surfaces according to established standards.
The incumbent must:
– speak French and English
– customer service skills
– have a professional attitude and demeanor (e.g. teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, loyalty, initiative, etc.)
– basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, vigilance when handling food
– attention to detail, speed of execution and stress tolerance
This is a part-time seasonal position – day/evening/weekend/holiday – possibility of 40-hour full-time weeks
