Come and try a day of the Nancy Greene Racing Program! Sunday 12 March 2017. The Mont Cascades Nancy Greene program is available for kids aged 7 to 13 years of age. The primary goal is skill development for skiing, and we introduce elements of ski racing to the kids. We provide a fun and stimulating environment, in order to foster a love of skiing and an interest in racing. We introduce the kids to racing with team oriented races. Training sessions throughout the season incorporate free skiing drills, fun courses, and video sessions. Depending on age and skill, some kids may also want to consider the Club Racing programs intended for older kids. There is some age overlap between the Nancy Greene and the Club Racing programs. Kids can enter the Club Racing program at 8 years of age, and we recommend that the more skilled kids consider this option. It is also suggested that the ideal age for entry into the Nancy Greene program is 7 to 10 years of age.
Please join us for a morning of skiing with the Nancy Greene if you think you might be interested in these programs. Coaches will be available to discuss the programs, and to provide guidance on the best program for your child. If you plan to attend, please confirm by sending an email to ng.cascades@gmail.com by Wednesday 8 March. If you want more details on the programs, you can send your questions to the same email address. Please note that for the Nancy Greene Day it is required that all participants be proficient on the lifts. Resourcing is such that we cannot provide ratios on this day to support athletes that require direct assistance at the lift. However athletes in this situation may still be appropriate for the Nancy Greene program next year, since ratios are suitable in program.
